Do I really need a website ?

This might sound a very silly question to most of you but people in Vidharbha or say who are from remote areas still don’t know what internet is ? I mean people of our generation knows this but what about our fathers generation, they still don’t know anything about internet. I mean very few know about what it is and what it does ?

In a city like Akola, where my or younger generation use internet in their day to day life but they use it mainly for sending emails, searching for jobs etc., but not for services or products they need. So there are people who ask one simple question “Do I really need website ?

Well it really depends on what business you do ? Say your audience is farmers who hardly uses internet. In that case its not that necessary but this trend can be changed at any point of time. If you do not provide this facility then how will you know that your audience is going to accept it. The time has changed a lot, I never thought of using a Card to do payment at a shop in Akola but the merchants have provided this facility and there a lot of people of are using it and the number is increasing.

Second point is that website is your another channel for marketing/advertising and selling your products and services and that to at very low cost as compared to traditional marketing. By having your website you open your business to serve clients from all over the world. Well this will be very absurd to say but yes where you are serving only Maharashtra now you will be serving complete India.

While selling products or services, we make sure that we utilize all the paths, channels then why we should leave this new route which is cheap and full of opportunity. Every business should think about it and should take benefit of this opportunity or else we will be left behind by our competitors. Another thing is that website provides your business a elegant and very professional look.
